Another critical element arises from the fact that all industrial process emissions differ, a specific solution may have to be developed for each particular application. In the case of a requirement for air treatment where no previous experience exists it is possible to have field trials using pilot plants. Studies can last for several weeks where processes parameters are modified to achieve optimum conditions for use in a full-scale design.
Feasibility studies for air emissions treatment systems
Any problem related to emission treatment to the atmosphere is somewhat unique and therefore requires a specific design.
Air Clean carries out feasibility studies relating to emission into the atmosphere systems designed to determine which is the best abatement technique for each specific application.
Environmental impact studies using air dispersion models
When you are involved with industries that are considered a causes of nuisance odour’s. It is often necessary to determine in an objective way what the amount of treatment (removal efficiency) required to prevent the spread of nuisance odour at sensitive receptors, in homes or in the surrounding environment to the factory.
Air Clean is able to provide this kind of information by the use of dispersion models, which are based on the insertion of meteorological data and topographical data into simulation models, by this means it is possible to simulate the release to ground of gaseous emission from both sources like emission stacks and area sources such as open tanks.
Odour measurements by dynamic olfactometry
The dynamic olfactometry has now become a terminology widely used for the measurement of the odour load in a polluted air stream.
Air Clean is able to take over part of its plant engineering activities including validation and of the realization of olfactometric analysis using affiliated laboratories at the University and private laboratories.
Pilot plants
Air Clean has thirty years of experience in the construction of treatment plants for atmospheric emissions, including all aspects of containment ventilation and treatment.
That said, in some special cases it can happen that completely new applications arise with chemical constituents not previously treated: in these cases it may be appropriate to conduct a thorough feasibility study, followed by the realization of a pilot plant, made up of a scaled down system. In this way it is possible to verify the effectiveness of the proposed solution before performing full-scale plant.
