Air Clean provides capture and treatment systems for air emissions utilizing either conventional technologies (scrubber, activated carbon, combustors) or biological technologies.

The latest multi stage biotrickling biological technologies (MónaShell®) are able to remove in a biological way a large numbers of solvents. The efficiency of the biological systems is dependent on the solubility and the bio-degradability of specific chemical compounds in the airstream. By optimising process conditions, low solubility compounds can be successfully treated using biotrickling filters very often in multi stage biotrickling filters.

Every application has to being studied to choose the best technology suited for each case. In general, for removing low concentrations of pollutant on intermittent applications activated carbon and chemical oxidation systems offer the best solution. Whilst for high concentration of pollutant’s thermal oxidation offers the best solution specially in cases which pollutants have a sufficiently high concentration to provide auto combustion without the requirement for supplementary fuel. Biological systems are useful for low to mid-range applications (biofilters generally for high volume low concentration application while biotrickling filters are more commonly used on lower volume higher concentration airstreams).

Removal of organic solvents used in the print and/or painting processes using activated carbon, scrubbers, biofilters and biotrickling filters

During the surface treatment process, the solvent content in the paint is released into the atmosphere.

The vapors, contain the solvent in gaseous form, must therefore be captured and properly removed.

Air Clean manufactures solvent abatement systems using both traditional technologies, such as activated carbon and scrubber, Organic media biofilters and biotrickling filters. The biotrickling filters in particular are used for removal of solvents of concentration between five hundred mg to two thousand mg of carbon.

Reference technology

Dust and pigments removal from painting booths

During the painting process paint droplets can be released into the air vents which is to be extracted,

Air Clean designs, manufactures and provides abatement systems for paint droplets/pigments based on the use of cabins on the water film.

Reference technology

Aspiration of fumes produced in the galvanisation plants

In electroplating industry, vapors grows toxic to humans and the environment.

Air Clean manufactures equipment for specific reduction for this sector.
