AirSol – Product Overview

The AirSol wet scrubber from Air Clean works by transferring polluted substance’s from a gas to a liquid including organic compounds, inorganic compounds and dusts. In most cases the gas is composed of a polluted air stream air and the absorber liquid is water with the addition of chemical reagents which oxidize/convert into salts the polluting substances. The use of this technology is more suitable when dealing with soluble chemical compounds which are easily absorbed into water. A typical application is the removal of inorganic chemical compounds such as hydrogen sulphide (compound responsible for bad odours in wastewater treatment plants) and ammonia (compound found in solid waste treatment plants). Absorbers came in two design: counter-current wash (vertical washing towers) or crossing flow (horizontal washing towers). The filling media is selected on the base of the application. Reactors can be made of polypropylene, fiberglass or stainless steel. Air Clean technical office will design the equipment on the base of the specific treatment required.
